The Commit Room
Commit the few things you will finish
September 2026, evening EAT, confirmed on registration
A seat is KES 2,500 per session, about USD 20, rising to KES 3,500 five days before each class.
The scoreboard most leaders keep
Intention as progress: good plans announced.
The scoreboard this room installs
Completion of formal commitments: how many of the few you wrote down got finished, on a date, to a measure.
The question this room answers
What are the three things that, if finished by December, would make the year worth something?
What the room covers
- Why intentions are not commitments
- The anatomy of a real commitment: what, by when, measured how, and who will ask
- Someone who asks versus private resolve
- How to choose the few over the many
- What makes a commitment hold under pressure
The exercise
Name your three to five second-half commitments. Give each commitment a completion date, a specific measure, and the name of someone who will ask about that commitment. Read your commitments aloud in the room.
What you walk out with
Walk out with a commitment ledger: three to five things you will finish before December. Each commitment has a date, a measure, and a named person who will hold you to that commitment.
You leave with your commitment ledger.
You do not need the earlier rooms. Walk in this month, and leave with your commitment ledger.
You become the leader whose word is a reliable instrument: when you say the work will be done, the room already believes your word.
